Sivota > Lakka > Parga > Gaios > Iggy Creek > Gouvia (Corfu)
When sailing its impossible to guarantee an exact day to day itinerary - that's part of the fun! This page will give you a general idea of a typical week with Summer Sail Week.
Day 1 - Gouvia Marina
Gouvia marina is just 15 minutes from the historical old town of Corfu, Gouvia marina is a modern marina with excellent facilities located on the east of the island just north of Corfu Town. The perfect place to start and finish your Summer Sail Week holiday.
You'll be able to check in at 2pm, drop off your bags and use the afternoon to do a supermarket shop in local village. Your boat should be ready to board at 4pm and, having met the SSW crew and members of the other yachts, you'll spend the first night at your base where the bars and clubs provide the perfect start to the week.
Day 2 - Sivota
Summer Sail Week will welcome you to Greece in style with an epic party on one of our favourite Ionian stops. We'll raft up on our own private quay, make full use of the waterpark before the sun sets and the party gets into full swing in our very own night club.
We'll set off around 11am from Gouvia on the first morning and enjoy a gentle sail towards the mainland coast. After an hour or two we'll drop anchor in a crystal clear blue water bay where you can swim, enjoy lunch and relax, before lifting up the anchor and sailing towards our first port of call.
Day 3 - Lakka (Paxos Island)
Quite simply one of the most picturesque islands in Greece, Paxos has some stunning, crystal clear blue water bays. Lakka, on the north of the island is the jewel in the crown, and we'll build a raft in the bay to make the most of the stunning swimming.
Ashore there is a small, sleepy village that comes alive in the evening with some great traditional Greek tavernas opening in the square for a traditional Greek evening. Once the sun goes down, Romanticas cocktail bar provides the perfect setting for an epic night out, serving classic cocktails along with a surprising firey number!
Day 4 - Parga
A large town on the mainland coast of Greece, Parga has a huge repertoire of bars, clubs and restaurants, making it the prefect destination for a big night out on the town Summer Sail Week style! We moor the yachts on the beach and take a water taxi around to the town in the evening, or walk along the beach for a touch of sightseeing at the old fortress.
Those arriving early can make the most of the gorgeous sandy beach, go on the ringos, wake boarding or parasailing from the beach or simply kick back and relax at the Tango Club. The town itself has many shops and a fantastic ambience with narrow cobbled streets leading up the hill away from the busy waterfront.
Day 5 - Gaios (Paxos Island)
The largest town on the island of Paxos, Gaios offers mooring along a long, thin creek between the main island and a small one opposite. Enjoy a delicious Greek meal, and perhaps some traditional Greek Dancing and one of our favourite restaurants in Greece, perched on the end of the harbour with delightful views of the stunning little village.
For those keen to kick on after dinner the Yacht Bar offers great prices on drinks and an even better view of the harbour from its position right on the waterfront. And for those really looking to let their hair down, a nightclub on the backstreets of Gaios will keep cranking the tunes until the last people leave!
Day 6 - Iggy Creek
On our new Greece route, we've left the very best stop for last! Our very own beach, a huge bonfire, watersports, music until dawn and an epic Summer Sail Week closing party. Iggy Creek lies on the mainland coast and is pretty much unreachable by land. We reserve the only pontoon and tie up for one final night under the stars.
Ringos, wakeboarding, parasailing and banana boats are all options for those feeling adventurous, and the beach is perfect for thse wishing to chill. The BBQ will be lit before dark, and the when the sun goes down the music is turned up as we party the night away on this gorgeous sandy beach.
Day 7 - Corfu (Check Out)
All good things must come to an end. On the final Friday we'll sail back to Corfu, to our base at Gouvia marina, for you to check out and be off the yacht by 5pm. For those wishing to extend their stay in Greece we can recommend accommodation at a great hostel on the island.
